BEHIND THE BRAND
Aiosphere began with cacao at the forefront. After receiving a very clear message about the seeds I sow in this world in terms of service, it was very clear that I was being asked to step into a role that encapsulated a larger scope; of the work that I do and what I am capable of. Work with the plants & people, with various energies and with the land. Works that have evolved rapidly in unison within Te atua ō Cacao.
Sitting beneath the umbrella of Aiosphere are a collection of practises I have been working with for many, many years. They started as personal practises to clear & integrate my own trauma, however in the last 10 years these processes have shifted to a guidance system I have been able to craft to both hold and guide others.
Healing & integration are non-linear processes, unique to each individual. I have deep reverence and gratitude that I exist in a time where I am able to use the gifts & knowledge I have both cultivated and inherited. That I am able to tap into the incredible pathways & signatures of others, and work to reshape their inner landscapes to places of harmony and balance.
My name is Murphy and I am a woman of Waitaha, Ngati Porou and the Scottish clan Buchan. Putauaki is my mountain, Tarawera is my river and the Tarawera is my forest. Poho O Rawiri & Hiruharama are my marae. Nukutaimemeha is my waka.
I currently live in the heart of the rainforest on Djabugay Country in Far North Queensland. I offer my love & gratitude to the spirit who watches over this land, the elementals who maintain its magik & majesty and the spirits of the first nations people who still walk the songlines. Deepest gratitude to my life's teachers, the wisdom keepers and guides who help shape this incredible collective existence of ours; may their voices continue to be celebrated and heard.
HOW AIO GOT ITS NAME
Aio Cacao was born from a Māori prayer. A guide for all on how to be the best version of one's self. For the self, for our families and our communities.
The prayer (karakia) can also be sung as a waiata as call and respond.
Tu i te tika.
Tu means to stand and also to practise; i te means in the and tika means the right way.
This reminds us we all know the difference between what is right and what is wrong when it comes to our words, actions and behaviours with and towards others and our environments.
Tu i te pono.
Pono is authenticity. Reminding us that we are the only one of us on this great green and blue planet. Celebrate your uniqueness, bring your beauty into the world in every essence of truth and with utmost integrity.
Tu i te āio.
Aio means peace, or peaceful. This encourages us to help others have a peaceful life, to walk thru this world with thoughtful well placed steps.
Mauri aroha ē.
Mauri is energy, aroha is love. Aroha enhances mauri and its movement. By honouring the above principles, we continue the ever flow of mauri through all life.
As an offering of contemplation this prayer is included on the reverse of every bag of Aio Cacao.
